We had to strike a pose at the majestic new showroom in the Hamptons. Michael Del Piero Good Design with Lukas Machnik is the kind of design space that makes you want to stage photo shoots. It is a stunning, edgy, modern, organically layered space that lends itself perfectly to selfie-moments and other camera tricks.
Chicago interior designers Michael Del Piero and Lukas Machnik are responsible for the quiet elegance of the gallery/boutique/studio and its’ distinctive take on minimalism. The 2 level space with a garden touts a clean-lined, tone-on-tone space with an organic sensibility. Del Piero interior design services and Good Design shop have been a buzz in Chicago for years, showcasing an earthy, textured and layered vibe with large scaled objects and one-of-a-kind collectibles—it’s a look that fuses ancient and modern luxury.
Heavily textured plaster walls by Hyde Park Mouldings effortlessly match the polished concrete floor. You’re in another world when inside the East Hampton jewel box – its a ‘good design world’. There is an array of tableware by Bob Golden along with artist Lonney White’s work. Lukas Machnik has his own steel collection of side tables and bar stools that blend perfectly in the greige and cocoa-colored space. It’s not the typical Hampton’s look – it’s better!
