Tonight’s party was for The Ronald McDonald House and
hosted by Input Creative Studio.
Input is a New York based design studio that specializes in retail, office, hospitality, experience, exhibition, and residential design. Taking cues from technology, nature and contemporary lifestyle, the studio emphasizes innovation, concept and creativity.
1984, Ronald McDonald House Charities is officially established in memory of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, a strong advocate for children.
1985, the first European Ronald McDonald House opens in Amsterdam, Netherlands; and RMHC establishes the RMHC/HACER scholarship, providing awards to graduating high school seniors of Hispanic descent entering their freshman year of college.
1991, the 150th Ronald McDonald House opens in Paris, France.
1992, RMHC creates a new program for the families of critically ill children with the first Ronald McDonald Family Room, opening at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, KS.
2008, Atlanta’s 50-room Ronald McDonald House is the second built to Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) specifications. The House includes a dedicated wing with 10 private, two-bedroom suites for families of children who are recovering from bone marrow, heart, liver or kidney transplants.
2010, RMHC celebrated the 300th Ronald McDonald House opening in St. Louis on September 29.
Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. For children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

As a part of Project Design 2014 for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Input Creative Studio and The New York School of Interior Design have joined forces to create a one of a kind space for guests of the house.
The room was designed to be a safe haven for its residents that are experiencing unspeakable tragedies; removing all 90 degree angles in the envelope of the existing space makes guests feel safe and relaxed.Wood wraps around the room forming built-ins while providing warmth and texture.
Thank you Input Creative and NYSID for your enjoyable gathering and tasty treats. Thank you Ronald McDonald House for your important and thoughtful efforts in helping families in need.
