The New York Design Center welcomed hundreds and hundreds of design enthusiasts to the 7th annual event, “What’s New What’s Next”. #wnwn
Once again the #NYDC turned it up and turned it out for what has become the season kick-off event for the interior design coterie . We laughed, shook hands and kissed hello as we toured the building dashing from seminars to book signings to panel discussions and corridor chatter scenes. Then onto the next floor as our curiosity lap continued through-out the evening. This clever event combines shelter magazine executives with emerging design professionals and philanthropic /educational organizations & their respective audiences.
It was a sophisticated sports rally with all the admirers and authorities rooting for the same team. . . the team of smart design.
Officials from INTERIOR DESIGN MAGAZINE, IFDA, VERANDA, NYSID, THE ALPHA WORKSHOPS, ASID, NEW YORK MAGAZINE, ELLE DECOR, DERING HALL, METROPOLIS, WALLPAPER, TOWN & COUNTRY mixed with movers and shakers like Pamela Jaccarino, Dennis Miller, Stephanie Odegard, Robert Passal, Ally Coulter, Jamie Drake, Christopher Coleman, Bennett Leifer, Jon Call, Ellie Cullman, Thom Felicia and Wendy Goodman all under one magnificent roof –
the New York Design Center.
Jim Druckman, President of #NYDC and his talented marketing/production team coordinated a series of events spanning from afternoon into evening with invigorated architects, designers and decorators. It was enjoyable listening to the handsome and entertaining Martyn Lawrence Bullard give details about the production of his new collection for Haviland at Cote France. Then bouncing – so not to miss Jason Kontos moderate a progressive design panel for
New York Spaces Magazine.
Manhattan parties and affairs often have a innate fashion show. Style shout out to Christina Juarez who dazzled in a smart, floral cocktail pant ensemble and Mark Alden Lukas handsomely suited in seasonal blue gray, white shirt with tie !!! It was Fashion Week and design week in New York and the
#NYDC mixed it up just right.
