LUXURY LISTINGS MAGAZINE arranged to transport some VIP Manhanttan-ites to their Saturday afternoon party in Bridgehampton, NY. About 30 assorted professionals (Real Estate hot shots – Interior Design Pros – Development Teams were driven in a brand new, deluxe (super air-conditioned)TRIPPER luxury bus.
Our road-trip troop arrived at Two Trees Lane just in time for tea (try repeating that line quickly). DJ tunes hummed throughout the brand new and expansive home. Some of the rooms in the home had been beach decorated and cozied while others were left to the imagination. There were two open bars – one was tented on the lawn with a caviar station and the other was – hmmm I don’t remember.
Tray pass appetizers were offered like; scallops, mini burgers, mini tacos and those delicious shredded pork sandwiches. My first pork sandwich was knocked from my hand and landed on my favorite pair of summer shoes – when the waitress went to pick up her mess – I accidentally stepped on her hand. A few weeks in a cast will surely steady her balance. I’m joking she’s not in a cast . . .
One of my new favorite magazines is LUXURY LISTINGS. It’s a glossy publication, tall sized and boasts a bevy of celebrity covers – Martha Stewart – Michael Strahan – Nicole Miller – but its best quality is being a resource for who’s who and what’s what in Manhattan’s bustling real estate development.
Separate but equal is the twin publication – The Real Deal – also glossy and stately, but much more property focused and trend forecasting in its content.
Amir Korangy is the publisher of Luxury Listings NYC. He is also the publisher of The Real Deal. Naturally, he attended the event but I was unable to get any clear photographs of the tall, handsome publisher – I guess he didn’t hang out near the caviar bar.
I also missed the opportunity to photograph Stuart W. Elliott who is the editor-in-chief of Luxury Listings NYC. He also heads up editorial operations at The Real Deal and has worked in the past at the New York Times.
But, I did get photos of some of the fab people who attended the Brown Harris Stevens sponsored event. Thank you Luxury Listings NYC, The Real Deal, Jonathan Brooks and his attentive team. Your Two Trees Lane event was a listing to remember!
