I read my horoscope in The Post everyday but that’s about the extent of it. Aries.

My first and middle initials are DJ (seriously—Dana Jordan) so I think I’d have to leave it at that—DJ DJ!

No.
How many pairs of shoes do you own . . .
Not as many as you’d think!
What is your present state of mind . . .
Eager. I’m off to Europe on vacation
tomorrow so I’m ready to get going!

A Moscow Mule in the summer.

Do you awake with or without an alarm . . .
Alarm—all the way! I often have
to get up at 5:30/6:00 AM, which would never, ever happen naturally!
Uber, Taxi, Subway or Citi Bike . . .
Subway, Uber, and Taxi—probably in that
order. Which one I take depends on time of day, traffic, and my footwear.
I probably walk above all else though.

What is the last photo you took with your cell phone . . .
The other night I was
walking through Times Square after theater, and the Seward Johnson
sculpture,“Embracing Peace,” had been erected to commemorate the 70th
anniversary of Life Magazine’s iconic kiss signifying the end of World War II
in 1945. I thought it was pretty cool and the sculpture stands 25 ft. tall and
is definitely hard to miss, so I took a picture.

Black
One of the best lessons my parents taught me is . . .
My mother always says that a truly kind person is kind to everyone. It is not enough that
someone is good to you—they must also be good to others. It seems simple enough but so many people seem to miss this!
What is your favorite work of art . . .
That’s impossible for me to answer… I
was an Art History Major and worked at Christie’s. I refuse to pick just one!
As far as favorites in local NY collections go though, The Comtesse d’Haussonville in The Frick is up there—and really any Ingres portrait.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dana holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.A. in Modern Art Connoisseurship and the History of the Art Market. She is actively involved with the Penn Alumni Interview Program, the Architectural League, the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, the IIDA Residential Forum and the venerable Winter Antiques Show.
