Kips Bay Showhouse – Part 2 – LADIES NIGHT

A former parking garage fashioned into a five-story, $49.5 million limestone townhouse opened its doors to an A-list crowd of design aficionados. At the 44th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, 21 top tier design firms have transformed the raw concrete spaces of the new-construction luxury home into a wonderful museum of design drama, stylish suites and outdoor opulence.

Our first story (here) focused on spaces designed by the talented men of this year’s extraordinary showhouse. Now we take note of the female point of view.  It seems today’s designing woman is classically chic and sensationally symmetrical.

Suzanne Kasler’s family room is a cool backdrop for her furniture designs for Hickory Chair. Kips Bay 2016 Opening Night Party Eve Robinson After studying art history at Vassar College, Eve Robinsonbrought her talent and innate sense of style to Polo/Ralph Lauren. Her evolution toward interior design was a natural one. She completed the interior design program at Parsons School of Design and in 1990 founded Eve Robinson Associates, Inc. in New York City.    Since that time, ERA has appeared in House Beautiful, Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home, House & Garden, Interior Design, New York Spaces, and in the interior design books “ Designers Here and There”, “ Room for Children”, numerous House Beautiful Design books, “ Waterworks Inventing Bath Style”, as well as the upcoming book, “Interior DesignMaster Class” to be published by Rizzoli this fall.

Eve Robinson Kati Curtis Kati Curtis designs homes that are the visual story of the people living there. Her interiors are bold statements balanced by quiet details. Every project is an expression of the three elements central to Kati’s interior design philosophy: crafted, cultured and collected.     Kati Curtis Design was founded in 2005 after 12 years of working with international architecture and design firms. She is a Certified Interior Designer (CID), and a Leadership in Energy and Efficient Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Kati’s expertise in energy efficient design allows her to express her passionate belief in sustainability.
