If there’s a Spring Event not to miss – it’s The Alpha Awards that garner more than 358 prominent individuals ( I counted last year) from the field of interior design and other highly respected Businesses. It is a glitz and glam event held at the landmark building – 41 Broad St. I love big parties, they’re so intimate and this cocktail hour+ award ceremony + silent auction + live auction is guaranteed to be entertaining.
The Alpha Awards is the annual opportunity for The Alpha Workshops to honor individuals who have enthusiastically championed the work and shared the vision about the mission and results for over a 22- year history. (i.e. head cheerleaders)
Kenneth Wampler created the Alpha Workshops in 1995. The Alpha Workshops is the nation’s only non-profit decorative arts studio that tutors people with HIV/AIDS and offers employment in a supportive environment. It’s exactly as the name says ‘a workshop’ creating opportunities and supporting the arts.
Ken is known for cultivating terrific events and this is a good one. The networking opportunities are endless at this high-spirited social gathering. Please take a moment to glance at names of the Event Committee – after you read the honorees of course . . .

Suzanne Slesin to Talk Design Futures at ICFF NYC, May 21
I love ICFF and generally walk the expansive show on Sunday, after the popular Saturday opening night event at MOMA. Good design looks even better when you’re in a bit of a haze. Anyway, this year, I’m participating in a panel discussion that will be moderated by the resplendent Suzy Slesin. So, my Saturday night will be peaceful in order to be resplendent with Suzy. Here’s the ICFF ‘t’ for the panel discussion that begins at 11am . . . please come!
(New York) – May 9, 2017 – ICFF is proud to welcome Suzanne Slesin, publisher and editorial director of Pointed Leaf Press, to the ICFF Talks stageSunday, May 21 at 11:00am. ICFF®, North America’s largest and most prestigious series of design events for interiors in its 29th year, will host insightful and educational Talks sessions each day of ICFF NYC, May 21-24, 2017.

I’ve discovered a new sensation! It’s called BodyLove and you can learn more about it at ICFF – of course after you attend the panel discussion with Suzy and the gang. Once I understood what BodyLove was all about – I couldn’t get enough. This is a ‘must see’ for the luxury lifestyle aficionado.
