Interior Design Maven Iris Dankner and the Holiday House Design Show have returned to the Hamptons this summer to showcase stylish summer living and entertaining.
Iris has whisked open the doors of an expansive home on a quiet Watermill cul de sac which will remain open to the public until August 4, 2019. Twenty-five different design teams each took a room and made it special.
From its 3-story glass wall to free-floating staircases, every design detail has been thought-out in this barn-style modern home. The home has tremendous entertaining appeal, spanning a double-wide, 1.5-acre property. It boasts 12,500 sq. ft. of living space, plus a 3-car garage and pool house. A stunning 2-story foyer is open to formal dining, a formal living room and grand two-story great room. The great room with glass tower and cathedral ceilings is breathtaking in scale, yet warmed by wood columns, trusses and a high-gloss shiplap fireplace. The great room opens to the back yard and to an oversized eat-in Kitchen with Butler’s Pantry or Bar. There is also a corner Sun Room, with fireplace and retractable glass walls for indoor-outdoor living to the pool. Contact the Bodenchaks at Sotheby’s International Realty – Dawn (646) 382-4055 or Frank (917) 968-9020 when you’re ready to purchase the property for approximately 12 million.
After its inception in 2008, Holiday House became the first designer show house in New York City to benefit a breast cancer organization, attracting talented designers from across the country to transform the historic Academy Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side each fall. Following its success in New York, Holiday House created a summer expansion in the Hamptons and is now established as one of the premiere show houses in the country.
This year Iris has chosen DESIGN CHAIRS: Kristen Farrell + Thom Filicia + Carson Kressley + Amy Lau and the popular magazine HC&G as a Partner & Sponsor for the 2019 Hamptons Holiday House Design Show. “For the fourth time, Cottages & Gardens is thrilled to partner with Holiday House Hamptons to showcase beautiful interiors by talented designers from New York City, Long Island and Connecticut,” says Kendell Cronstrom, Editor in Chief of HC&G and NYC&G.
