If you’re the type who likes a good hunt, one of the best parts about a weekend in the country—or the Hamptons—is scavenging treasures from beautifully appointed stores like Black Swan Antiques, Elizabeth Dow or East Hampton Gardens. This particular weekend I was on an antique hunt with the one-and-only Antique’s Diva – Toma Clark Haines and her USA Diva- Tamara Matthews Stephenson. Our sunset hour on Saturday was a treasured stroll through Mulford Farm for the ninth annual East Hampton Antiques Show or as I like to call it East Hamptons Fashion Show. Even on the hottest day of the year – the à la mode sauntered by looking cool.
It’s a serious show where collectors sell to those with collectible good taste. The Show has more than 40 art and antiques dealers participating in a maze of white tents and the historic barn. The Mulford Farm lawn swaggers everything from sheep looking stools and massive porcelain vases to original paintings and impressive jewels. My friends began shopping for precious treasures while I snapped a few pictures of the fashion show – you’ll love the photos . . .
