Fifty Five of the world’s most exciting galleries in vintage and modern design and fine art welcomed a stylish and fashionable crowd to the 5th edition of The Salon Art + Design.  This years exhibitors flaunt timeless pieces ranging from classic ancient art through 20th century modern.

Executive Director, Jill Bokor and her team have garnered a stellar list of supporters like Elle Decor, Goyard, Cooper Hewitt, Kusmi Tea, W Magazine, Whitewall and others to support this boutique fair originally created by Sanford Smith.

At ‘The Salon” – there is a Collectors Lounge for visitors holding ‘Collector’s Cards‘.  This years lounge is furnished by Poliform and situated in a historic room within the historic Park Ave Armory – it is historic!  Newuman’s Kitchen passed tasty treats while open bars served wine, champagne and a signature cocktail.  While sipping, chatting and snapping – pictures not fingers – I heard that design legends Robert Couturier, Russell Picclone, Daniella Ohad and divine Madeline Weinrib are giving tours this weekend- thesalonny.com.

It is a stunning show – not to be missed. The opening night Press Preview / socialite gathering was delightfully energetic with eye candy in every corner.  I attended with my design enthusiast and savvy business lady Cannon Schaub.  It was great fun sauntering through the wide isles and decorative vignettes – here’s a peek at some of our favorite moments . . .
